Meet the Cast
Here are the crazy people brave enough to come on and lend their voice to LucasCast. Cast members are listed alphabetically.
acdcfanbill
I’m acdcfanbill, or simply bill to most people on lucasforums. I am a big fan of Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight so the announcement of Jedi Knight II in 2001 was a very happy moment for me. I rushed to register myself a forum username at the brand new site, www.jediknightii.net and I’ve hardly strayed from there since. I’m still a fan of Jedi Knight and many shooters and I do most of my gaming on PC. I played Jedi Academy CTF PUGs religiously for a few years but I’ve slowly backed off from so many of those. I also like adventure games and a very few Western RPGs. Outside of gaming I am slowly working on a Computer Engineering degree and I like Heavy Metal, level design and Sci-Fi TV/Books. I have a very eclectic interest in films and video compression.
Boba Rhett
Like some of the others here, since even before the heathen LucasArts fansites of old crawled out of the rich n’ creamy primordial soup that was the internet of the late 90s and banded together to form LucasForums, long have I held residence in the fan community as both a member and an administrator. It would even be fair to say that I grew up in Lucasforums - pantlessly roaming the varied communities, pummeling ne’er do wells with my *yoink* stick and harassing the general populus with my army of basket weaving elves.
In my life outside of the forums I’m an electronics engineer, an EGID (Epic Geek In Disguise), and spend most of my free time generally being hilarious. I love, nay, adore retro gaming and use my allotted gaming time playing/restoring old games and old game accessories though I do my best to play new games as they’re released and stay on top of even the tiniest baubles of interesting gaming news.
Darth Groovy
My name is Darth Groovy, The Dapper Zabrak. I manage a popular video game store as my day job. My nights are spent both here, and trying to finish up video games on my 360 or PS3. I have only two real talents to speak of. I am a good writer, and I like to sing. I joined the Navy in ‘95, and served as Command Journalist for the USS INCHON (MCS-12). There I got to do many cool things such as run the local radio/TV, write articles for the local papers, and even got some awards for turning the ship’s newsletter into a functioning full blown Newspaper. I found out getting a job as a journalist outside the military was near impossible without a proper ivy league education. I even went back to school for a while and changed my major to Web Design. I have had several jobs since then. Then I got recruited by a popular chain of video game stores. After a year, I got my own store, and have been doing that for the past 3 years now. It pays the bills, and I get keen insight into the wide world of video game culture. I have been a Lucasforum member since 2002. I have been an administrator since 2006.
Jae Onasi
Hi! I’m Jae Onasi. I joined LucasForums in 2005 looking for some help with my Knights of the Old Republic game. Before long, I ended up joining the discussions in Ahto Spaceport Cantina and writing some fan-fiction in Coruscant Entertainment Centre. I became a moderator in CEC in ‘06, and over time, moved up the chain-of-command to super-moderator. In Real Life I am an eye doctor and family manager. I have a husband of nearly 19 years who I adore, 2 fantastic kids, and 2 terrific cats. When I’m not working, taking care of the family, or gaming, I spend time chatting on forums, writing, reading, doing church activities, and working on Taekwondo forms. If you enjoy sharing about things near and dear to a Geeky Mom’s heart, feel free to join me on my blog called (not surprisingly) Confessions of a Geeky Mom.
I have a weakness for chocolate, Diet Pepsi, gaming, and anything Star Wars-related. My first video game ever was “Haunted House” on Magnavox Odyssey, and I spent many an hour destroying Asteroids and bouncing clowns off balloons in Circus Atari. My favorite games are Kotor 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights 2, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Guild Wars, and Lord of the Rings Online. I’m really looking forward to Bioware’s Dragon Age and The Old Republic games, and Obsidian’s Alpha Protocol. I’m also looking forward to sharing gaming experiences with all of our listeners!
leXX
I joined LF back in 2002, looking for multiplayer tips for Jedi Outcast. I found myself in Yoda’s Swamp one day, and have been a Swampie ever since. I got promoted to mod when the Star Wars forums were made, then Super Mod not long after that. I’m a housewife, and mother of two beautiful young daughters. I’ve been playing games since Pong, and I’ll continue playing games until someone removes the controller from my cold dead fingers. I also love listening to music, reading, movies, anything sci-fi and ninja’s. Ninja’s are cool!
Rogue Nine
Hey there, I’m Rogue Nine, though I’m more commonly referred to these days as Niner. I’ve been with LucasForums for the good part of a decade now, joining back RogueSquadron.net and XWA.net before the merger. Been a super moderator and subsequently an admin for most of that time, so I’ve seen LF through all the crazy times its been through. When not perusing the forums, I go to school to try and better myself (don’t laugh) and I also enjoy the occasional video game as well. I’m primarily a PC gamer, though recently an Xbox 360 has invaded my life and is trying to entice me over to the console side of things.
And yes, I really am the Serious Business guy.
